Hello fellow Mommies! If you’re as busy as I am chasing after my 2 1/2 year old while caring for a 7 month old as well I know it can be a challenge to feel put together. I am going to share some of my favorite secrets to looking fab in seconds. As you will see I enjoy doing this while I wear my daughter Lillianna on my back. She loves it! Happy baby = Happy mommy! My son was enjoying his breakfast while I did this like usual.
It all starts with an amazing face wash. If you take the 1 minute to wash your face with a great wash your skin will thank you. I use Radiantly You Dead Sea Whipped Face Wash as it helps to reduce pores and detox the skin while moisturizing.
Next step is to moisturize. Yes even if you have oily skin! Whether your skin is dry, oily or normal you should moisturize so your skin can balance itself. If you don’t moisturize oily skin the body will think it needs to produce more oil. By adding moisture you will help prevent early aging by keeping the skins elasticity. Shown is Radiantly You Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer with aloe and pomegranate seed oil.
What better way to look awake then a little concealer under the eyes! Take the concealer of your choice in a pink undertone a shade lighter than your skin and apply under your eye. I like to start from the inner corner blending it out towards the cheekbone. Brushes are best, however, I know when in a rush fingers work well too. Please remember to use your ring finger as it is the weakest finger. No need to pull the delicate eye area more than we need to.
Oh looking better already! The concealer I am using is MAC Mineralize Concealer. This can also be used on blemishes. I swipe the concealer wand under my eyes, dot my nostrils, and around my mouth.
Take a large powder brush and your face powder and sweep it over the face. This will not only set your concealer, but will help blur out other imperfections in the skin. I use Smashbox Hydrating Perfecting Powder.
Time to give yourself a little glow!
First take your large powder brush and brush your bronzer right under your cheekbones & along your hairline. I use MAC Mineralize Bronzer.
Take your favorite blush and sweep along the cheekbones. I like to use something with a little sheen to catch the light. Anything that will brighten the face is perfect! One of my go to colors is MAC Springsheen. It is a nice pinky peachy color with a light golden sheen.
Now that our face is done let’s move onto our eyes. By this time one of your children may be jumping on you or yelling at their sibling. I promise we’re almost done! I take an eyeshadow a shade lighter than my brow hair and apply lightly through my brows with an angled brush. Brows frame the face so if you can take the extra second I recommend it quick. Using powder you don’t have to be as precise as using a pencil. The shade of eyeshadow that I use for my brows is Corduroy by MAC.
Take your favorite mascara and apply 2 coats. This will open the eyes and lessen the need for an eyeshadow. My favorite is MAC Extreme Dimension since it gives lots of volume quickly.
Top your lips off with your favorite gloss or chapstick and you are ready to face the day! Voila! This routine shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes so it can be done while your little one is eating breakfast or occupied with some toys. I like to wear my 7 month old on my back while I do this. I enjoy my squishy cuddles while getting ready.
